Description: Ethical expectations are a part of every organization. Public officials and employees in Wisconsin have additional considerations outlined in state law or local ordinance. This webinar will review the expectations for public officials and employees. We will also explore best practices in ethical decision making.

Melissa Bohse
Melissa joined Cities and Villages Mutual Insurance Company (CVMIC) in 2024. As an HR Advisor, she proactively trains and consults with members on human resources and employment liability. Melissa has nearly 20 years of experience in local and state government management, focusing on administration, finance, and human resources. Prior to working for CVMIC, Melissa worked in municipal government from 2005 to 2020, including for the City of Middleton, a CVMIC member community, and for the State of Wisconsin from 2020 to 2023. Melissa is a Senior Certified Professional through the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM-SCP). She holds her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois, and her master’s degree in Public Administration from Northern Illinois University.
