Description: This program is designed to equip newly elected officials, city department heads, and public affairs officers with essential media communication skills. Participants will learn how to effectively engage with the media, develop relationships, manage day-to-day communications, leverage technology, plan for crises, and integrate communication strategies across their organizations.
Join Brent McHenry, Communications Manager, City of Middleton for this 2-part virtual training program. Each Zoom session will run from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. It is recommended that participants attend Part 1 before attending Part 2. Part 1 will be held virtually on June 4, 2025. Brent Kyzer-McHenry, City of Middleton
Brent Kyzer-McHenry brings 25 years of experience in corporate and crisis communications, specializing in media relations, stakeholder engagement, and strategic public communication planning. Having worked with organizations like The Walt Disney Company, Fiskars, and multiple government agencies, he has led high-profile crisis responses, developed communication policies and procedures, and built strong media relationships to ensure clear, effective messaging in both routine and emergency situations.
