Neurodiversity at Work

Neurodiversity at Work

October 2, 2024

Description:  Good Friend Inc.’s Neurodiversity at Work training is designed to help companies understand neurodiversity in the workplace. The training is anchored by a short documentary film featuring the lived experiences of autistic and neurodivergent people in the workforce. E-learning modules expand upon the stories of those featured in the film, with commentary by subject matter experts, to cover a wide range of employment topics. Offered as instructor-led and online training, Neurodiversity at Work is appropriate for any company seeking to start or expand DEI initiatives for inclusive practices to meet the needs of workers with non-apparent disabilities. By educating employers how to best attract, hire, engage, and support neurodivergent talent, we aim to improve employment outcomes for neurodivergent workers.

Presenters:  Denise Schamens is the Executive Director and Co-founder of the nonprofit organization Good Friend, Inc (Waukesha County, WI, www.goodfriendinc.org) which is devoted to autism awareness, acceptance, and empathy. Her inspiration comes from her three young adult children, whose journey has taught more than 67,000 people how to better understand autistic neurology.
